Method
Keep the amount, period, currency and missing information together. These checks show arithmetic, not a verified financial position.
Pay-period comparison
Multiply entered net pay by the stated comparison count, then divide by twelve for the monthly equivalent. The actual calendar-year count is not verified.
Dated cash flow
Group cash movements by date and carry the balance forward. Show daily closing and the separate balance if outgoings leave before same-day income. Bank order is unknown.
Daily allocation
Subtract entered bill allocations and the chosen reserve from available funds. Divide a positive remainder into whole-cent daily amounts; show any undistributed remainder or shortfall.
Contribution schedule
Subtract money already reserved from a planned cost. Divide the gap across the chosen contributions, allocating spare cents explicitly so the sum is exact.
Reserve coverage
Divide cash reserve by the six entered monthly essential-cost amounts. A chosen month target is optional; a zero expense basis gives no coverage estimate.
Plan versus actual
Compare matching-period income and three allocation categories. Subtract allocations from income in each column, then compare the amounts left.
